Your form of depression is quite probably from unbalanced hormones. VERY POWERFUL. You can't fight chemicals.
Don't be afraid or embarrassed to find professional help.

Well your age might have something to do with it.
HORMONES >< my sister is 17 and going through some nasty stuff right now.
I sympathise. What we did for my sister was try to trace the cause of her aggression and discomfort and get rid of it altogether. At the same time our family doctor gave her a simple relaxant to help calm her nerves. She also took up smoking.
I don't know if any of this will help you but it has helped my sister greatly. She used to cut herself and was terribly depressed. Now shes a little more cheery and definatly feeling better.
Also, Make sure you eat a healthy diet. Food is a big cause of tiredness and depressing feelings. Being hungry is not always a good thing.

There are two types of depression: Clinical & Psychological. To simplify for you as best I can, "clinical" is a biological illness, no different than anemia, asthma, or the flu - there is a physical illness going on in your body that needs to be treated with medicine. Psychological, on the other hand, begins usually with an incident or life traumas that have overwhelmed your ability to cope. Depression is also defined at times as "frozen rage." For instance, child abuse often results in this type of coping because perhaps it would get you badly injured or killed to scream back and fight your abuser - so you "freeze up" and "don't feel" in order to survive. Little Girl from Iowa, it sounds like your desperately trying to feel something with these thoughts: grief, abandonement (someone dies), your boyfriend hits you (pain, anger) this is along the same lines as those who self-harm. Please don't be ashamed, you need medical intervention and counseling. Please treat yourself as kindly as you would a dear friend that is recovering from surgery, or that has gone through a recent illness. You need to tell your parents and your primary doctor. You've gotta help yourself by telling and getting help. The World Health Organization states that Depression is the world's #1 Health Problem with appx. 60% of the world's population experiencing this illness. It doesn't mean you're a "psych case", it doesn't mean you've done anything wrong, and it isn't that you're "weak" and just need to buck up and get over it. (All stuff I've dealt with from others - and myself, before I got the help I needed.) Usually clinical depression is an inbalance in important neuro-transmitters in the brain, and these can be caused by a myriad of different reasons. Please take the step to change your life, baby girl, you deserve to get out of this black hole and have a wonderful, happy life. I did, and I have so many students at the Middle School I am a nurse at that I've helped get treatment - and they are so glad! So, I beg you - reach out for the help you need by telling and make your parents read this if you have to. I'm praying for you!

sometimes people feel depressed and dont know why. It may just be a chemical imbablace. The bad feelings you are having might be built up anger or maybe you want something bad to happen so you can get some attetion. I used to feel the same way. I wanted bad things to happen to me. I went and seen a doc and was on medication, i now am off and I feel better. You might need a counselor to talk to and maybe some medication.

I'm sorry to hear that...
What you're describing sounds like a mood depression based on the unpredictability of mood swings.
These could result from high levels of stress, medication (if any) & hormonal imbalance.
The best would be for you to seek professional help before it gets out of hand.
In the meantime, try taking a yoga class. Get active, be sociable, be involved at church - anything that'll uplift your spirits.
Overall, manage your priorities, make time for you. Put/ place yourself first. Allow things to be chaotic, don't dwell on it. Once it calms down, you can get back to your usual routine.
Hope this helped.

I have fought depression for a couple years now. It is very hard but with a lot of praying and digging down in myself to find who i really am. You have to learn to love yourself and Pray everyday for God to show you everything that he has made you to be. I will be praying for you too. I was on meds for a few months but when i finally was on the meds i starting felling good and could find out who i was i took myself off of the meds. it is still a battle but i now believe in myself and i know that i can do it! Hormones are so much fun!!!!

sounds like you really have a problem
If you can't get to a dr. which would be the best thing.
Try doing vigourous excercises. take long walks.
do some heavy cleaning around the house and stay busy as you can doing something constructive.
but above all try to see a dr.
It also sounds like you need some attention too. from your family.
