when someone did my horoscope to find out more about myself, I was very disappointed as it wasn't very in tune with me and my personality.
Should I just not bother with horoscopes anymore on a daily basis because it really isn't what I'm all about?

I think your astrological sign does affect you but i also think your history plays a bigger part as to why you are the way you are.

Horoscopes are primarily based on sun signs only, and like others said, a full blown chart includes all the planets in 12 houses and maybe even some asteroids thrown in there. And then there are squares and trines and more - the actual chart is based on mathematics.
Are they for real? I don't know. You can use them as guides or not, as any professional astrologer (and I'm not one) will tell you we always have free will, so you might decide to do just the opposite of what might be seen in your chart.
If you look at horoscopes on a daily basis, try to see them as entertainment. Even if you have a chart done, nothing is written in stone.

Did you have a full Astrological chart reading performed using your:
birth date,
birth place, and your
exact time of birth?
If you didn't, that is why it doesn't sound like you. And if you did, maybe you used a website that wasn't well informed.

Did they do your astrology because there is more then one planet that makes a person.
Try this link below you need your birth time and place to do some of them.
But it will let you know more about you then you could ever imagine.
You are ruled by the moon the sun and what ever planet was insight at the time of your birth.

Because they are a waste of time. The position of the stars and planets have nothing to do with who your are!

Hmmm.. most times I think they are right on... it may be the person doing your horoscope that could be wakko.

Because horoscopes are vague & "in general" & are for entertainment purposes only... not real.

Even if you do fit the profile, you shouldn't waste your time living by those things. They're for entertainment.

maybe because they aren't real? They tend to "match" people because most of the time, those are typical personality traits found in everyone.
