My, you certainly do seem to know your Clapton history, don't you??!
You DID, however, leave out at least ONE very important phase of his musical evolution: the YARDBIRDS!!!!! They were a very influencial force in early British blues-rock, way ahead of their time.
Clapton made LOTS of great music, both as a solo artist and as a band member. My personal favorite song of his, ever? That would be
"BELL BOTTOM BLUES"!!!

I do like bits n' products of E.C. i in my view do like Derek & The Dominos Fillmore & Layla. wide-unfold little bit of Mr C could be: Why Does Love have been given To Be So unhappy.
