No it will not and in some cases your spouse may even draw a check off of you.

Neither one of you is working? I don't know if your disability check will stop, but why, on earth, would you get married when you can't support a family? Why would your spouse not work? Frankly, I think you both should work. Everyone can do something, even people who are disabled can answer phones or log in data onto a computer. It would help your self-esteem a lot, too.

I am disabled with bipolar disorder. Some times I do well but most of the time I am wigged out. I receive disability while my wife works. It doesn't matter what the spouse receives. Disability is based on your physical or mental disability and how much you have made in the past. I was making about 2000 a month while working, now I make about 800. I really do wish I was working again. It really burns me up when people talk about people with disability as bums who don't want to work. I would love to work. I make a pit tens from disability. I could not even afford my medicine where it not for my wife's insurance. I am one of the lucky ones. Most people who have my disability don't have medicine. It is sick how people treat us. Our health care system is seriously broke.

No your check will not stop because you get married.
The only way it will stop is if you cannot provide proof of your disability the next time they ask for it.

I am sure you know most companies that handle this are paid to be sure you are legitimate and in some cases will make you jump through hoops.

Your marriage however is not a problem.

When I met my current wife she was, and still is, on disability. Our marriage had no effect on her check. It also has nothing to do with how much we make together.

This is in the state of Kansas.

Look to avoid making a judgment.. Why doesn't you mate work? To answer your question...It depends on who supports the household. If you decide to marry and you mate gets a good job and it also is you main means of support then you $$ might go down a little but won't stop...There are lots of different criteria so this is not a simple question!! Every case is different.. It depends on what the disability is...if its perm or not if you able to overcome it.. Hope this helps you!!
