I see a lot of racist statements that are being made against black people all the time in yahoo answers. and the majority of what is being said is very untrue and are sterotypes.
1) there are racist people in all cultures but I find more to be made mainly by whites but its from the ignorant group of whites. such as the racist comments made by other cultures, its by the ignorant group.
there is poor white, black, mexican, asian, korean and other races out there, that are on public assistance & live in poverty. so don't label public assiatance as a black thing.
many dont like rap they have problems w/ the words & lyrics, but we are not the only race that makes music that is offense to the ears or that is degrading all races does. Its your personal preference what you choose to listen to and buy. I am prejudice against ignorant/racist people. they are just adding more hate to the world that is unnecessary, instead of wasting all the enery on hate, direct it to something postive. LIFE

Tom: just like I stated I sit back and view a lot of comments and then I look at the username and other questions and comments from them. like I stated before many are from whites but not all of them.

Prejudice does mean to prejudge and point blank I prejudice of racist people, one I am not trying to know your heart if you hate me right off based on the color of my skin, I can care less about your heart.
I believe that everyone has the ability to change and if a racist person I knew came to me differently and has changed, then I can accept that. Thats why I can say I am prejudice against them and not hate them.

prejudiced means intolerant,closedminded, and racist

racism means the belief that some people are superior to others, bigotry

racism-discrimination based on race.

OK honey. i am not trying to be smart here, but the definitions look pretty much the same. actually the way I see it, is that none of us are truly alike, even within our own race/culture,we basically all have the same body parts, male and female. We all laugh if we are happy, cry when we are sad, respond to fear basically in the same way.
I was a kid during the 50's and a teen-ager during the 60's (I wasn't a flower child but I thought they had a lot of good ideas)
I didn't understand why there was a problem then nor do I understand it now.
Prejudice unfortunately is live and well in every country. Maybe it's another devil's workshop.
Prejudice has been going on since the beginning,I don't look for it to change in our lifetime.
I am afraid that the best we can do is ignore others who waste precious time hating, and let the buck stop with each individual who does care.

and I am right with you.. I am white, however there is nothing that I hate more then when people do not educate themselves.. I think however I am not for Shir that racist is well, someone who has hatred in them. Prejudice, well maybe there just not well educated. Don't hold me to them, I am not shur like I said. I have a niece and nephew that are half black and I hate that people say very rude, and horrible things like the N word. I just want to come out of my skin when I hear that. People like you said need to learn some things. In case some don't know Black people years ago had to act like they were not educated, other wise they were beaten, when actually they were really smart. so like she said lets all find some love and spread that instead of hatred..

Really? Hmmm... You are prejudice against ignorant/racist people.... and just how do you know who these ignorant/racist people are before you get to know them?

Prejudice... Pre-judge... judging before you know someone's heart...

you cannot tell if someone is ignorant... nor if they are racist until you hear them talk about something they are supposed to be knowledgeable in... or... you hear them making serious racist remarks (someone making a racist remark does not necessarily make them a racist... they could be quoting someone else and you could just happen to hear the remark and not the rest of the conversation)...

ok.. that said.. and just HOW do you know the people making the racist comments on here are white?

i think of prejudice isn't approximately race whilst racism is. working example prejudice ought to comprise people of the comparable race yet from a distinctive social type or a distinctive attitude. Examples of prejudice run rampant on Yahoo solutions!

Excellent points. I think a lot of people don't understand the nature of racism, or the definitions of racism versus prejudice. There is still a lot of ignorance about these issues, and people want to pretend the problems aren't there.
