If you have a good job, hire a good attorney. This should not take long, depending upon your state, and with him in prison it shouldn't cost much. If you have kids, at least ask the attorney to apply to have his parental rights canceled, as a danger and bad influence to the kids, and attempt to get a no child-support order since there is more grief than money there.

If you are penniless, see a local legal aid office.

Right here with me. I am currently working on not only my divorce, but a friend of mine as well. I would also suggest that you contact you local Legal Aide as they are a Not For Profit Org, that can file for you. Winning however is a whole other story. If, you have done something to provoke this behavior, the judgment may be found with the **** head. So be honest, get a PI, and do not do anything wrong until the judgment is in.

If you have kids there is no such thing!! But considering your situation...You can can have him served with papers while in jail. Actually a good time because its free! Next try a paralegal to do the papers about 350.00 but if you do it yourself and have kids file for both legal and physical custody without visitation until determined that your ex is not in jail for some hayness crime. Also a 5 yrs restraining order depending on your income you can do it for next to nothing but when doing the papers you need 4 copies. 1 for the court 1 for yourself and one to be serverd to him also give a copy to a friend or close relative.

No, that account changed into your asset earlier you purchased married. it isn't community property. hopefully you probably did not upload money to that account even as you been married for your contemporary husband, that would want to were co-mingling and it might want to be not easy to ensure what's your or his, quite in case you withdrew money from this account besides. sturdy success on your divorce.

go to your local courthouse and they should be able to help you for very little money. I did 2 divorces on my own and each cost less than $75.00!!! Talk about a bargain.!
