Do you actually go to church? Which type of church? And would you be offended if they decided to use non-Christian prayers in the schools?

But if you are offended, aren't you being hypocrital towards non-Christians?

The concepts and history of religion should be an elective, provided it is taught in such a way as to expose children to many different religious ideas. That's diversity in action.

Religion as a dogma should not be taught to children in school, especially given how impressionable they are. That's tantamount to state-sponsored indoctrination, and is the entire reason the Establishment Clause exists in the Constitution.

It doesn't matter which religion is being taught, majority or minority, Christian or non-Christian. Allowing children to learn about history and culture is good. I think that the more children know about the differences in culture and belief, the more they can develop tolerance and acceptance of those differences.

However, telling children what to believe (as in what is true and what is false) about the nature of God is something that the government should have no involvement in. Politics and religion are two very powerful forces, and their combination has led to tyranny in every country that's attempted it.

FYI, I am an ordained Universalist minister.

I used to go to church until I started seeing too many hypocrisy's. I made it a point to talk with a Rabi,Preachers from different religious organizations, Priests, etc. while on my quest for the truth. I studied about different religions and I have found that I'm still not seeing the original way that religion was practiced. I have found that almost every religion has Zionists in control, so that is disheartening. I guess John Lennon was right about religion being the opiate of the people. In his song "Working Class Hero", he describes what life is all about. As far as religion being taught in schools, forget it! That can only be a state backed religion that the Zionists love to ram down the peoples throats. It would be against our Constitution....I guess the powers that be will do what they want, at any rate.

Yes I go to church, Pentecostal Protestant. I would not be offended as long as Christian prayers were also freely accepted and taught. They do not wish to do that because of the strength and Godly influence that accompanies Christian faith.

Church and state should be seperate. No religion should be taught in school. One religion or belief can not reflect an entire population, unless you live in a very homogenous country.

On the other hand, morals and ethics should be taught in school, seperate from religion.
