Getting sick is not a great feeling, especially when you catch a bug just before going to work the next day or even over night. Depending how bad I was, like not being able to get out of bed, or feeling so bad that i should just rest I would stay home. But if it's just a little headache and the bug hasn't got to me bad yet, I would show up to work, and get through the day the best i can. so depending how bad/ sick I am I would rest in bed, and hopefully feel better in the morning, by saving my energy.

It is best to seek doctor advice first. It is not a good idea to turn up for work if you are sick. Since you are already sick, you should take a good rest and recover before going back to work.

Gotta pay the bills. If you don't show up you get in trouble. I was to be on complete bedrest and had to go to work. The 1.5 days I was in the hospital having my last child, my office became so screwed up b/c of people not knowing what or how to do a job. If I had lice or something, no way. But a cold? Carry Lysol and Kleenex.

Well,i suppose that would depend. It would depend on what the symptoms were, how bad I felt, and if i was contagious. If i was contagious i definately would stay home.If i had a minor headache, and was still able to see straight sure id turn up for work.If the symptoms involve any form off uncontrollable bodily functions then definately i wouldnt turn up for work.Just depends what the problem is.

Yes...I always go to work sick, and save my sick days for days when I feel great but want to do something fun.
