we been knowing each other sence high school we had a little something back then is it true when they say if you love something so much you let it go and if it comes back to you then its yours to keep?

The only reason you should marry someone is because you truly love that person and know they are the right one for you. You don't have to marry her just because you are having a child. I married my second wife because she got pregnant even though I was not in love with her. I was miserable for 4 years. We are divorced of course. You cannot make a marriage work if you do not love the person not matter what the circumstances are for getting married, sooner or later it will fall apart. The worst thing is the impact it will have on the child. I hated being at home so I worked as often as I could and worked different shifts so I was not home much with my little girl. Also her mother and I constantly were fighting and that is not an environment to raise children in. Children should be raised in a loving environment. My daughter and I have a great relationship and she is much happier with the time she has with me now that I am not with her mother. I have since remarried for the right reasons and my wife and I have a very loving, caring home and my daughter loves being here because she feels safe and loved. If you do love your gf then by all means get married, but only do it because you both truly love one another. Best of luck and I'll be praying for y'all

You have to more than "get along". You sound like me. My husband and I knew each other in high school met again years later, were together 3 years, had a baby, got married, and the rest is history. But you know what was always there? Love.

If you are so serious about each other that you are having a baby, you may want to consider marriage. However, don't rush into marriage just because your girl is pregnant. Live together to make sure it will work out. My sister did that and ended up marrying the guy. They have been together now for over 20 years.

although every child deserves 2 loving parents, that love each other...just "getting along" isn't always enough. As for the second part...often the criminal will revisit the scene of the crime, so just because "it comes back" doesn't mean it will last. If love is truly there, from both of you, then by all means, get married and make a loving home for the child.

Get married now! Don't listen to these pot heads who say you don't need to get married - you do, for the child's sake. Stop being selfish and think only about the child so that your offspring can live a normal life as a legitimate child/adult and not think about what you two f**k heads were thinking when you decided to conceive a child with no plan of marriage. The yahoo! men are saying "yea, run!" The yahoo! women who don't know their shoe from their earring don't realize that bastard child will love/hate and disrespect both of you forever - forever!

I married just for the child and was divorced by what would have been our 2 yr wedding anniversary cuz he wanted to be with someone else. don't do it for the baby if i had followed my heart i would have been married to my high school sweet heart who is now my fiance'. I would have been so much happier. Follow your heart don't follow what is expected. I love my son with all of my heart but i think that my ex and i make better parents apart. It took me a long time to realize that while my son's dad was perfect for what i wanted at the time ( I thought that i needed to go and see what Else was out there it turns out that i had everything i wanted in front of me) my fiance' was what was perfect for my whole life.

If u really love her then do get married, but don't just get married caz of the baby. If u do just get married caz of the new child, then maybe you'll end up divorcing her, and that it'll be harsh for the kid. Good Luck!! :) Make the right choice. Think about ur love for her and the baby to come.

honestly even though u guys r in love and everything getting married may not be the best choice for yall to make. when u think about it the only reason yall would b getting married would be b/cuz of the kid. if the kid was in the picture would u be thinking about marriage? i believe that if two people who are in a relationship have a kid and decide that well we are havin a kid so we need to get married than that is just most likely going to make things even more complicated. obviously if yall was ready to be married you would already be married. JUST REMEMEBER IF THE KID WASNT IN THE PICTURE WOULD THE IDEA OF MARRIAGE BE IN YOUR HEAD? PROBABLY NOT

yes, get married. Makes things a lot easier for the pregnancy, baby and life in general. If you love each other enough to have a baby your ready to get married.

Man love only come ones in a blue moon. If you are in love and so is she to. Do it I did it and we have are problems but we love each other with all are hearts. set down and write all the bad things and then the good things and if the good is better then the bad you have answer your own ? Don't let no one mess up you life. live your life to the fullest. enjoy her and let her enjoy you stop stressing. GET MARRIED!!!!!!
