It's up to you... You could bring it up informally, and see what his take on it is. Perhaps he's not on the same page as you. But if you guys both want to get married to each other, he will propose himself and you won't have to do it.

How much do you know about him?
How well can you 2 live with each other?
How well does he handle life's pressure?
How much is he willing to give up for the many changes that comes with marriage?
I can go on and on.......
What I'm saying is....give the 2 of you more time to really know each other better; like habits, character, likes and dislikes...
Are you really able to handle it....marriage is a commitment and not a commercial decision not emotion, passion or just plain love....its a long term partnership that needs constant work, trust, patience, perserverance and understanding...then when you can answer most of the questions; then take the next step...get married.

Probably not. I think this is a commitment that he needs to enter into because he realized he can't live the rest of his life without you. Not because you already did all the work for him. (Men can be soo lazy!)

I think it is fair to ask what his thoughts on marriage. No point hanging around if he definitely isn't into it.

I wouldn't. Guys are more scared of marriage than women. I would wait until I was absolutely sure he was ready. I guess there's no harm in just mentioning marriage though.

He's the one who should propose. Wait for him to do this.

Not actually propose but tell him it's time to make a commitment. Tell him you don't believe in long drawn out "courtships"......... it's bad .
