A few years ago, the TV writers decided to go on strike. The networks padded up their schedules with 'reality based shows'. The viewing public ate them up (since they are all like watching a car wreck). Now, the networks decided that they can make tons o'dough on a show that costs almost nothing to make...why go through all the trouble of actually writing something when 'reality' (such at it is) is so much more entertaining.

People have lost their creative touch. Now they go with a different version of a show and try to make it their own. In the end they are all the same to me.
I have no idea why they call them reality shows since there is no sense of reality in them. They are more like Interactive Game Shows.

good question but dont have an answer. i have seen some reality show commercials like two of them coming this fall so prepare yourself for more. To say the truth some are really boring. I love BB All stars though.

Reality shows are cheap and easy to make, and if it dosen't work out or become a hit the networks don't lose a lot of money.

that's because the attract people and they are a big hit. I get so sick of hearing the talk about the reality shows at work. People are so addicted to them, it's not even funny!

Because, there are so many small people with small lives the only way they can get out of their rut is to watch somebody else make a fool out of themselves
It is all geared to the advertising $$$$$$$.

I hate reality TV. I can't watch it at all! But we have losts more time for other things outdoors, movies, and video games. OOOOOOOh, and reading books!!!
