There are a number of reasons for gynemastia. Besides the obvious of loosing weight if you are overweight other common reasons are have your thyroid checked. A slow thyroid can make your overweight, but a lot of people don't know that being hyperthyroid can cause a man to feminize even more. (It's a very complicated processm but trust me on this)
Look at your diet. Are you consuming endocrine disrupters such as soy? I know vegetarian guys who have started feminizing from drinking soy milk. Soy does two things, it gives you massive doses of estrogen (some say the equivalent of 5 birth control pills) and also will slow down the thyroid. If you eat a lot of meat, eggs and dairy you are adding even more estrogen into your body. Get organic meats and dairy products because this will somewhat lessen your estrogen intake.
So look at your diet, exercise especially with weights or resistance training to tone up the chest. If you feel really bad with it see an endocrinologist and have some tests run. You could also have low testosterone which is easily treated with things like Androgel.

Gotta start working out bud! Get involved in a sport or some sort of physical activity. Also get nutritional advice about your diet. Lose the weight and lose the boobs. Harsh advice but true. Make the extra effort and you will be rewarded for it.
It's not going to happen overnight. It took you time to develop gynemastia, and it will take time and effort to get rid of it. Keep working at it.

Mastectomy is the surgery for male breast reduction.Cosmetic Surgery(including mastectomy) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.
They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your sons surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .
My cousin got his mastectomy done there and he is more than very happy with the results. He is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.he paid just 30% of the cost what he was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for him. .hope this helps

This condition is usually not treated. If it is the result of endocrine disease, hormone manipulations may reduce the effects of the imbalance. There are a number of medical and surgical interventions possible. You would need to see your doctor for further evaluation.
