Good question! The answer: yes.
I do have insurance, but insurance isn't what it use to be. I have dental insurance, but I can't afford to have my wisdom teeth pulled because my coverage is lousy. My husband and I work in summer e-baying and winter at school (we both teach) and we just break even. We are not extravegant- I cook at home, and buy discount everything. Hope this answer helps.

No. It just depends on what sort of job your experience and education nets you.
You pay much much lower taxes in the U.S. and just use the extra in your pocket to get your own health insurance. I lived there for ten years and did not bother getting health insurance because (a) I was healthy and (b) young at the time. Sure, I rolled the dice and I would not do it now at my age but don't let the horror stories scare you.
Put it this way, the state of Ohio has more MRI machines than the entire UK. The US has excellent medical care. It's just the exceptions you hear about that the press reports that freak Cdns out.

NO NO NO.
I make about 80,000 a year. I have a wife, son, cat, dog, mortgage, car payment, etc.
I work one job, mostly 40-50 hours per week, and I have plenty of free time.
My employer provides health insurance, disability insurance, dental insurance and vision insurance. This is standard practice for most professional jobs.
The trick is that having a 4 year college education really gets you in to salary ranges where you do not have to work two jobs.

I have a very good job , with insurance (it does cost a lot). I work a second job right before Christmas to buy presents. That way the normal flow of money is not put "Out of Whack"!

I do think so. I live in NJ and my daughter just got her lic. I now have to pay 405.oo a month just for car insurance. That does not include all my other bills. I am a widow trying to raise my 3 daughters and it is not easy...

no you just have to be smart with your money. People waste money on things they don't need and can't afford that is why they get into financial difficulties. My grandmother raised 13 kids by herself working in a cleaner.

You don't have to but it's suggested to live comfortably depending on the area. Unless you enjoy living with many roomates.
