Hmm, maybe Immanuel Kant's books. Just because, without involving religion (though he was religious), he asserts that everyone should act in a moral way (standard: treat others how you would want to be treated) not because you feel satisfaction from helping others, but because it is your DUTY as a human being to help others so you must. And of course this appeals to religious and non-religious people. That's why it is best. You don't have to BELIEVE in some alien theory (Christianity) to follow this. And furthemore, if everyone followed this, the world would be on its way to perfection and world peace. And even if this was done in a non-religious way, if God exists after all, he would still be proud of our accomplishments!

The best book on morals is the one you made yourself!
you should hold your own morals high and never compromise them.. you dont need to read a book to figure them out :-)

The Bible, because it's inspired by the One who created morality.

The Bible. Specifically the book of Matthew.
Why?
"Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, mind, and soul, and love thy neighbor as thyself."
Boy, I wish I could do that all the time.
