Rechargable Norelco. Once it's charged I can take it with me anywhere to shave. It lasts about 10 shaves before I have to recharge...however I only use it when I'm in a hurry as I prefer the traditional razor and shaving cream. Right now the razor of choice is the Fusion.

I don't have any friends who use electric razors. We believe they were invented as christmas stocking fodder. Get him a traditional razor with plenty of refills. The new Mach 5 would be a nice gift...

don't buy him an electric razor, get him a straight razor, get him the gilette mach 3 the mach 3 shaves on me very close and i don't have to shave everyday so i don't have as much skin irratation, and i'm a pretty hairy guy, tell him to use as much shaving cream as he wants, now tell him not to wash his face before he shaves, if hes scared that he will nick himself, just tell him thats part of it sometimes, if you have to get an eletric razor get him a braun shaver, don't buy a cheap one, shavers are just one of thgose things that the more money you pay the better it is

Norelco - great for replacement razors and stuff.

But, most young guys like to get the smoother shave from a blade and cream.

I would go with a good rechargeable rotary type, as much as you can afford, so it will last. I like my Remington with titanium coated cutter4s and self cleaning station, but it will cost about $120. Worth every cent.
