hi. this will propbably not get many answers but i hav a question. im a muslim. i am interested in anime and mothers dont appriciate a kid who is interested in something like that. i also neeed a laptop. i write and neeeeeeeeeeed to type. why wont she get me one? who knows?! but i need ideas. oh and if there is any anime junkies 9-16 yrs old out there e-mail me. im tired of being alone. i need more friends!!!!!!!!! i would not mind if u are a very diff religion either. bye.

Well, it is tough going against your family's beliefs, but perhaps you could have a constructive conversation with you mom to ask her for a computer. You could tout the merits of having a computer in the home including doing research and studies for school. Yes, you need to mention the negative aspects of having a computer (yes, there are jerks and perverts out there and people waste a lot of time online as well), but you need to let her know you will be responsible.

As for anime, why does your mother object to it? It is a form of entertainment. You would need to delve deeper about that issue with your mother as well.
