people have soooo many bad things to say about karaoke...what's the deal?

I love it. My husband and I met at a karaoke bar, and he proposed to me there. We go every Friday night and sing our hearts out. I think it gets a bad reputation when there are bad singers and people have to listen to them. It's like, "Let's go to karaoke!" "Aw, geez, do I have to listen to all those off-key, tone-deaf idiots?" NOt that I say that. I listen to everyone and applaude the loudest. They need encouragement. :)

I like karaoke. I think people who shun it are either those that don't like the idea of going to a bar (because most karaoke is done in a bar) or those that are too judgemental and uptight. Karaoke is all about having fun, and if you have talent, good for you.
I personally love karaoke!

I love karaoke, eventhough I completely suck at it.
But that's part of the fun, by making others laugh while you look stupid.

I live in Hawaii; karaoke is bigger than live bands - people love it.

i love singing! i guess other people just dont know how to sing thats why they have many bad things to say about it. lol!
