What if the 16 year old is at a friends house that is like 2 mins away from her home?

Some places still have city curfews for minors. If that's the case, it has to be before that. Midnight is as late as I'd allow for a 16 year old. Most places are closed by then, anyway, except for places you have to be 21. I remember my folks let me see the midnight movie when I was 16, so I guess my curfew was more like 2 AM. That probably wasn't such a good idea. We'd get drunk at 8 PM and try to drive home sober by 1:30.
Don't worry, I ended up getting grounded for a solid year. That sucked.

Depends on how mature and reliable the 16 year old in question is. When I was 16, I had to be in the house at 10:00pm sharp. For every minute I was late, that was how many nights I was grounded for.

I think that 9:30-10pm is fair but if you're parents will pick you up at a friends house after watching movies later is fine. I don't think that a 16 year old should be running the streets late at night.

12:30 the driving curfew!!! but maybe 12 to avoid drunks! and if u leave partys at 12 ull be home by like 12:30 on weekends- and 10:30- 11 on school nites!

Weekdays & during school time. 9:30 PM Friday and Saturday nights 10:30 PM at the latest.

I think 10 during the week and if the grades are good, 11:30pm maybe 12 on the weekends if you have a very responsible child

When I was 16 it was 10, I was fine with it.
