i need a clutch assembly for my gokart...but i just dont know what im looking for... it has a 1" shaft...and i dont know if i put on a centrifugal clutch or what......can someone PLEASE help me out....only if you know what you are talking about please.....thankyou

Sounds like you definitely need a centrifugal clutch. One site I know of is gokartsupply.com. They will have what you need. I think you are looking for part #206169A, a Comet SCS 400 clutch. Do a little research and double check if this is the best clutch for your engine.

I had one about 40 years ago and the centrifical clutches work very well any other type will be alot of work (pedals, cables, belts) you want something simple so that is the best way to go, when buying one look for an adjustable one with different springs, the tension of the spring will determine when the clutch engages too slow an engagement speed is not good, so try the heaviest springs first and move to the lighter springs. Also put a kill switch so you can shutdown the engine from your seat
