I was ACTUALLY thinking on asking that SAME question.
My answer is, no one knows... the thing is, these are the same people who we have to make earth decisions, political decisions, and the people we would hope to never depend on to save our lives. I pray that I should never need them to save me... scary isn't it? This is what the world has come to...

I think they are trying to shock us, maybe trying to be funny. Obviously they are the losers of the world. Maybe if we ignore them they will go away.
