I love them. Steven Tyler was born with the name Steven Victor Tallarico, but he later changed it to Steven Tyler.

As far as I ever knew, his real last name is Tyler. But, "Dale Jr fan" COULD be right - he just shortened & Americanized his original last name. I can, however, tell you that he was born on March 26, 1948 in New York City.
I remember many years ago, when I lived in Hollywood in the mid-70s. I met a guy once who told me he was Jamie Tyler, Steven's younger brother. I've never been able to verify this, or even IF Steven does, indeed, HAVE a younger brother named Jamie. But he DID seem to be the real deal, so I've always believed it. I remember him being very resentful, telling me that HIS band was MUCH better than his big brother's band was. He seemed to be consumed with jealousy & envy over Steven's success. Aerosmith, of course, was already quite famous by then. And quite rich, too, I imagine!
I have always wondered whatever became of this guy - and if he IS Steven Tyler's kid brother, did he ever manage to come to terms with his older brother's fame and fortune?
As for Aerosmith's MUSIC - I like most of it. Favorite song? "Dream On", from about '77, as I recall. Their best album? That would have to be "Pump", their "comeback" album from '89. LOTS of great classics on that one. Few bands, especially American bands, have enjoyed greater longevity than Aerosmith. These guys just keep on a-rockin"!

I totally dig aerosmith. They’re on tour and I was gonna see them until I found out the tickets where something around 100 bucks! I guess I should have expected that because they're super rad! I’m pretty sure that his last name was tallarico at one point but it was changed to tyler.

At one time I did, but thanks to total overkill on the radio, MTV (when it still played videos) and any other music outlet, I am totally sick of them. Overkill (just like the Stones).
