I know they have plenty of good cheese up there, but still wouldn't that be an oxymoronic vacation move/destination? LOL

Nothing against the great state of Wisconsin (a wonderful place, I'm sure) but I also think that's a totally crazy vacation destination for someone who lives in the Alaskan wilderness year in and year out. Apparently though, Juddie's (i.e. my g/f)'s dad, "The Captain", thinks otherwise. :-) :-)

Wisconsin has lots of things worth visiting for.
But in terms of wilderness, Alaska pretty much has us beat in most categories.
There is good fishing in northern Wisconsin; but there is in AK.
Lakes, lots of good ones in Wisconsin; same in AK.

Wisconsin has many nice state parks. Here is the website,
maybe you'll see something you like.
