You had every right to suggest that the two of you spend your anniversary alone. Don't feel guilty because you demanded respect. Don't be upset because you stood up and refused to let his uncle dictate your plans on your anniversary. Don't excuse him calling you out of your name ever. Continue to stand up. If he can't do what is right by you, then leave him. Three years or not, you can do better.

dont feel so bad, my husband has ruined the last 3 anniversaries we've had and we've been together 3 years... most men who arent happy, are determined to ruin your anniversary.....sit down with him on another day and tell him how it made you feel to be left alone on your special day. if hes anything like a real man should be, he'll understand and quit ruining your anniversary..

We did you allow this fellow (the uncle) to stick his nose in the first place? Keep your inlaws and your own relatives out! It's your anniversary and if your mate doesn't give that top priority then you have all the right to unleash your air raids and bombard him.

Lose the whole loser family. Him and his uncle seem to be real jerks. I wouldn't contact your boyfriend at all - let him figure what's going on and come to you. If he doesn't understand why you're upset (stay calm when explaining) then dump his *** and move on to better things.

I do think that you two should have celebrated it together. I am so sorry he did this to you. Men can be jerks. But I would talk to him - and if its too late (like real late or something to do something together) then I would reschedule like for next weekend. If that doesnt work then I would definitely talk to him about how important it is.

for starters don't be really mad at your hubby...he was drinking wouldn't you expect him to say things like that? i can't say i know why he went to the bbq but if i were you i'd wait till he came home and in the right mind before i got mad or super hurt...i mean people make mistakes..i'd have something planed for him when he comes back you know like something special to remind him its your anniversary:-)

You have every right to be mad.At him and his family member. It's your anniversary. And it was wrong of him to say you had an attitude.Of course you're gonna have an attitude,he should be spending time with you if he said he was going too.
