I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I saw a commercial for "World Trade Center" with Nicholas Cage yesterday, and I was wondering what other people think about seeing a movie like this.

Yeah I saw the preview too, and I think its too soon too. Just like you, I remember it like it was yesterday as well. Most people remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when the planes hit. I'm in Brooklyn, NY and I remember being down town brooklyn on jury duty that morning, the judge dismissed the case and let us go, and when I got outside the court room it was bananas outside, it look like a scene from a movie. The debre from Manhattan flew all the way to Brooklyn, it look like it was snowing, and the hotel next to us had Red Cross there tending to the victims who got injured in the aftermath. So yes I think its way too soon for this movie, and new Hollywood was going to make a movie about it, but I figured they'd hold off on it til maybe a decade or so because its still so fresh in our hearts and minds. It's a shame, and it still hurts just talking about it.

To some people it will always be "too soon". If you don't want to watch it noone is forcing anyone to do so.

Watch the movie before you come to any conclusions like "Hollywood is evil" etc etc. Personally I know a firefighter that was there and also an extra in the movie and he said if it was purely a cashgrab NONE of the firefighters from 9/11 (that were extras in the film) would have done the movie.

We cannot be reminded enough the evil we face. It would be a true disservice to those who died if we thought we should be quiet and not talk about it when the event SCREAMS for us to pay attention and act. Their deaths must not be a warning we don't take seriously. They are war casualties! I wish more people went to see United 93. So very sad that the people on that flight, our first "soldiers" in the war on terror would be forgotten without people talking about and remembering them. Too soon? Too late is more like it. Good question!

Yes it is too soon. Just imagine how the ones that lost family and friends will feel about this movie. That is one movie I will not watch, out of respect for the all that lost their lives on 911.

I think that it's a travesty. All of those affected from 9/11 need be remembered, but for Hollywood to profit from this tragedy that makes me sick.

Too soon? How about things like that should never be made. I wouldn't like it if I lost my spouse in the tragic event and then to be reminded of it constantly with a movie.

i can tell u that as soon as i saw that ppl were still greiving for it a year later, i said to my mom, 'i bet they're going to make a movie about this.' and guess wat? it comes out soon. damn i am a genius!! but i would rather that they just left it alone. its a tragedy, and i dont think even a decade would mellow it. so, ya, i think it is too soon.
