i'm thinking about getting my nostril pierced. want to know how much pain is involved. i've had my tongue pierced before and found that to probably be the most painful thing ever.

i have had a lot pierced, including my nose and tongue. my nose hurt less than my tongue or cartilage. your eyes will water and there is a throbbing for about an hour afterward. other than that not too bad. make sure you clean it well though, it was the only piercing that i have had infected. and do not believe all the people that say it feels like you have a booger. it does not if you have the right stud. also, for the person that said what about interviews, i work for a multi million dollar corporation, where i travel all over the place and deal with fortune 500 employees in suits and no one has ever had a problem with it. worse case scenario, you take it out. i think that if you want to do it, go for it and forget what everyone else thinks.

Geez, I found my tongue piercing felt little more than a mosquito bite and my nostril piercing felt like an elephant with nails in it butt sat on my face.

I got my nose pierced last year, it hurt for a little bit but I think it was a lot less painful then my cartilige piercings. It stings for a little while and then is kind of a dull throb afterward, but it's very quick.

It's just a slight pinch. At the most your eye will water. The only problem with nose rings is it DOES feel like you have a 24/7 booger.

Don't do it!!! I mean, why? It is NOT ATTRACTIVE whatsoever and I've seen some really beautiful girls with nose piercings only to be distracted by it and thinking how awful it looks, no matter how small the nose ring is. Leave that style to the AMAZONS!!!!

Please keep thinking about it but don't do it! It will eventually go out of style as fads do and then you will an ugly scar to explain to your grand-kids one day. Why not just get a stick-on crystal or something until the novelty wears off. You can look cool for a while without the later side-effects!

makes your eyes water a bit....and a real pain if you get a cold or have hay fever....used to have mine done...have now got tongue,lip,six in each ear and both nipples....but found nose piercing annoying......good luck with whatever you decide!!

if you can handle the tongue (which really wasn't that bad) then you can handle the nose.
