I have just bought a new fender starcaster. then my friend started to tell me that it is a really really bad guitar. when i looked around on the internet, i saw that it is an OK guitar and is good for a beginner. what do u guys think?
PS: it says that it was "crafted in indonesia"

If you have the money to afford one with out breaking the bank, then it IS am OK guitar, not the greatest, but still better than nothing.

But if you really had to pinch your pennies to buy this one, I think you probabally should have gotten something a little nicer for just a few dollars more.

It is essentially a "Collector's" guitar, & not really ment to be played as a primary instrument.

It looks cool & has some neat attachments, but it's not really the best when it comes to playing musically.

I believe Starcaster is the beginner model put out in partnership with Baldwin Educational instruments. I've seen them at Best Buy. I just bought the Les Paul version from Baldwin and it's surprisingly good (for $100, anyway.) I imagine the Starcaster is fine for a beginner too. They have computerized assembly lines making them, so it's going to be reasonably good no matter where it's made.

If you mean a Fender Stratocaster? Then it can be a very good guitar.Check out the fender web sight!

In my opinion its bad, but it depends on who you ask. Any guitar can sound good, it mostly is just do you feel comfortable playing it.

I have a Squier Strat. Mine's for beginners and it's fine.

Not as good as American.I told you once already.It is a squire model.
