A "square" is a person who is uptight and boring. It's usually an authority figure who tells the fun people they can't do, watch, listen to, whatever is it that they are doing, watching, listening to.

It's from the 50's. Like "My dad is such a square, he won't let me go see Elvis."

A square is someone that doesn't do thinks from the norm. stay's
with in the political and social structure of the humans and never take risk to have fun or go out side the box and try new things. I have studied humanology for the past 20 years and finally figure it out they think less and do more with no plan of action or actions on events that procced the future or the past. If the top ten threats of there planet was listed to be fixed there is no global vote to fix any of it and no money in it for the top goverment to vote to do it..It always wait to the last min..then do something or they have to make a movie and scare the hell out of them so keep doing that it works if a human every saw 500 mile title wave like the one that cause the grand canon they would stop and think about the weather problem in the future and work on it now so if a tornado
shoots 2x4 at 200 mph lets show then it will go threrw a car they might get out of there trailers and get somewhere safe so how about we get off world before it sticka vaccum up all there asses
and turn them inside out when the sky falls and space enters the
earth atomos it a vaccum...it's the future first the weather will go crazy they try to relate it to past events no big deal they always do more to confort themselves then the world. Thet just good at brain washing..everything going to be just fine we'll it's not in the future and they are here and they cannot fix it!!!

It's an insult from the 50's. It means your not hip or with it, uncool, a nerd. Tell them to "sit on it" , or say "up your nose with a rubber hose". Those are other dumb insults from the same era.
