Are there any nice Puerto Rican guys in NY? I like them a lot but I don't want to get stuck with a jerk.?

I am moving to NYC this winter and I want to find a nice guy to date. I like PR guys a lot and I keep hearing that the one's in NYC are not nice and they don't have jobs. Is this true? I also have a 3 year old son and I want to make sure that he and my son would get along because if not he would have to go? Do PR men date women with children in NYC? Thanks
