No question... being at a concert is by far the most profound, soul altering act there is other than sex....

From the earliest shows I have seen such as Pink Floyd, through the most amazing jams from the Black Crowes... to hard core rifs of Tool.... you can't find an easier and more profound way to lose yourself... to take your mind and soul to the next level...

Putting on a cd or MP3 is good... it'll move ya... But the raw passion and energy of the crowd, the band and your mind just propel you to a different plane...

Amazing....

The energy, and seeing the person live is completely different than listening to the album...the live show can make or break an artist! So it's really important to have a GREAT live show because that's where the rubber meets the road.

There's often a deeper connection between the musicians & their audiences. I remember when a friend of mine really couldn't get into the Indigo Girls, for example, but she changed her mind after feeling the vibe at one of their concerts. And some bands, such as the Grateful Dead, were just meant to be heard live.

I like to people watch... it seems concerts are when all the weirdos come out.

I like to feel the music! There's no comparison in hearing it live!

The fact that it's being sung and/or played right at the time that you are listening to it, and not that it got recorded like, 3 years ago. I also like the fact that my dad wouldn't be there to tell me to turn down my headphones.
