I think what you are asking is must you return after you collected disability for maternity leave. The answer is No. You just tell them that you changed your mind and you want to stay home. That is the same in All states.

I do not believe you are.
I think it is entirely up to you whether you return to work or not. Mat leave requires the company you work for to hold your position while you are off, but in no way do you need to guarantee you will return to it. If you do not intend to return, I would suggest at least letting them know in advance so that they can arrange to fill your position. It's only polite to do that.

Well heavens, you are never required to return to work. The only real reason that you would want to return to work is to make money, and if you don't need money, or if you want to get money in another fashion, then you should be fine.
Love as always,
Sebastian

If you are collecting short term disabilty $$'s during your maternoty leave you are suppose to retutn to work. Also - to be fair to your employer you should return and give proper notice and help organize your desk and train a replacement - however it is not a law - just common courtesy.
