In all honesty, I think the 1927 Yankees were the greatest single season team in the 4 major American sports. As far as being an organization, I feel that the St. Louis Cardinals are consistently the best-run team in the sports world.

New York Yankees. They have been around since 1903 and have won 25 or 26 World Series and have played in more than that. One of the few teams that are bigger than the sport it self.
