I am planning a college project that will require me to travel the contential United States to interview African-Americans living in poverty. What cities in the U.S. would be good cities to visit?

New Orleans used to have a very large Black population. I don't know how large it is now. Atlanta also used to have a very large Black population. When I say large, I mean majority population. Any city or town in the South is going to have a larger Black population, on average, than any city elsewhere, but you can find large concentrations of Blacks in most cities in the US.
