That is not necessarily true, not all lesbian relationships include your "stereotypical butch/femme" girls. My partner and I have been together almost 7 years now and neither one of us is butch or femme. We both take care of the "man jobs" (mowing the lawn & taking out the trash) and we both take care of the "woman jobs" (cooking & cleaning) it is just how it is for us. Also I know ALOT of lesbians and I am pretty sure that none of them think they are guys, I am quite certain that they all know for sure that they are girls, and they dress like they do because it is comfortable. I suppose if I found high heels and dresses comfortable I would wear that but since I don't I just throw on a pair of khakis, a polo, and some comfy shoes and go with that. My partner usually wears shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops... I suppose if they made "womens clothes" more comfortable I might wear them. And about having the real thing, if I wanted a shallow, narrow minded, biggoted, male chauvinist pig as a life partner then I suppose I would go you, but since I have taste and like girls, I guess then I will stay with the girl I love...

ok, I am a fem and have a butch partner.. I have had fem partners in the past. It has nothing at all to do with the butch thing. It has to do with the person underneath. The inner core of the person. I would love her just the same if she wore all my clothes and makeup thats just not who she is or what shes about. I love her for her not the way she dresses.

gawd, i don't know how many effing times this damn question has been asked! Lesbians DO NOT think they are guys, just because SOME dress in male clothing, does not make them want to be a man! Some girls just don't feel comfortable in womens clothing! And not all lesbian couples are femme and butch, some are butch and butch, femme and femme, and some are androgenist! Your being to steriotypical. And thats just it, we dont want men, if we really wanted a man, we would be with a man! Women arent men, point blank!

You are the answer to your own question. How many women have turned to Lesbianism after encountering you? Think about it. Lesbians know they are women they take pride in being women and those that chose to wear mannish clothing do so for any number of valid reasons. You must know how much of a chore it is to dress in frilly girly clothes. How annoying it is to make certain your legs are perfectly shaved before slipping on a pair of sheer silk hose.

Lesbians who like butches are still lesbians, just because they look like men, they are still lacking a vital organ to actually make them a man, and just because some relationships are femme- butch doesnt mean they all are, my girlfriend and I are femme-femme

well, we gotta educate the little stupid people...
sheesh! lesbians do NOT think they are guys! "butch" women are still lesbians, and don't want "the real thing."
why do you people believe the stereotypes? you need to get educated because you obviously know no one gay at all...

Sounds like a stereotype to me. No lesbian I've ever met wanted to be a man. Just comfortable.

Not all lesbians are like that, I think it's a stupid stereotype.
But a girl can be attracted to a notfeminine girl, but only sexually attracted to girls.
I'm a normal guy and I like other normal guys like me, kind've like that.
