Because you might make some mistakes you might not realize that you're making. I wasn't allowed to date until I was 16, and at first, I hated it. But when you go through that whole puberty thing, you have too much else to worry about than a relationship. Not just school, but developing into the adult that you will one day become. Parents are not evil, they only raise their kids the best way that they know how.
It's something that your parents will do that you won't like, and guess what? It won't stop. I'm 25--almost 26--and I will be getting married at the end of this year. My mother is STILL trying to run my life. It doesn't stop, but you know what? It becomes easier to tolerate as the years go by.

What possible reason would a parent be evil to his or her child. We have a lifetime of experiences that we have encountered and our motives are to get you or keep you on the right track and not make the same mistakes we did. Sounds like the problem is not the evil parents but the evil child. Grow up!

There is an old saying that still rings true in our modern world. "The apple never falls far from the tree." You can apply this saying to your situation. Your parents evidently did something when they were your age that they are trying to keep you from doing. Or they might just not think you are mature enough to start dating. I'd calmly confront them for the truth. Remind them, that with their honesty, you can learn from their past mistakes and become a better person.

They're not evil. They love you too much. They don't trust anyone getting that close to their precious kid whome the changed their pampers, fed them, and taught them how to walk. I'm in my 20's and my parents still don't like the fact that boys are interested in me. So, don't bother yourself. Date. However, listen to your parents as well. Some things they say are really useful. Ignore the "too much to handle" ones.

YOu say that they are evil because they prohibit you from doing what you want.
Your parents love you and want whats the best for you. They dont want you getting hurt.But you dont want to see its that way, becuase to you they are evil..Trust me one day youll thanks them...plus
Your in 7th grade dont worry about dating now you have your whole life ahead of you. Concentrate on school, and dont worry about dating until later like high school.
