There was a message posted on myspace earlier that there was a power outage in LA yesterday that's got myspace messed up and that they are working to fix the problem

Where do I begin?

Myspace was made with a programming language called cold-fusion. While this language is considered the easiest to write, its known for not being able to hand large volumes of use, which we all know myspace receives. So, when a lot of people go on myspace, it loads down the servers way more than they should be, thus slowing everything down.

Do not believe all of this "power outage" crap everyone is trying to blame it on. Servers are not effected by power outages because servers are required to have back up power that goes on within milliseconds of a power outage. Even if they didn't have back-up power, shutting off a server doesn't change any files on it. Try unplugging your computer and plugging it back in, guess what... your computer still works? Crazy huh.

And thats a really summed up reason my myspace is always down.

MySpace is not down.

Empty your cache files, defrag your system, clear your browser history, run a virus scan, do a surface check of your hard drive, shake the cobwebs out of your keyboard, strangle your mouse, empty your recycle bin, and then reboot your computer. If this doesn't work it means you have been banned from MySpace. Pass this on to ten friends or your yahoo messenger will stop opening also.

"This too shall come to pass."

These things happen.

It might need hardware upgrades following a growth spurt in users, the new video feature could be taking up more resources than they currently have available, there could be a small but dehabilitating programming glitch, or the backbone could have gotten scratched to hard again.

It could also be scheduled preventative maintenance or software upgrades taking place.

As frustrating as these things are, they typically get solved by most major services like MySpace within 24 hours.

You put too much of your life into MySpace if it's being down depresses you... Find something else to do, I'm sure you can think of something..

And now I see it says "This profile is undergoing routine maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience!" ...they just better now screw my page up, I worked hard on that... lol

It said on the site earlier that the power went out in LA where the servers are and they were going to have some problems for a few days or so while they are fixing the servers.

I'm not sure. You are much to pretty to be depressed. I would like to view your space some time.

its not down...just click refresh (on top tool bar where you type in a web address) and if it doesn't refresh and your home page doesn't show up...then click the arrow that points back...and you will have to retype in you password...then your home page may load...if it stil doesn't then click on home on myspace...then your home page pops up...there ya go!
