pros: a good painkiller, is a good preventative for heart attacks
cons: is dangerous for the under sixteens, can thin the blood so isn't good for those on anti-coagulants, can precipitate asthma attacks and can irritate the stomach.
I prefer paracetamol or ibuprofin when I need a painkiller over asprin as there are just too many negatives for aspirin.

The occasional use of aspirin as a pain reliever or as a fever reducer is very valuable and harmless.
The regular use of low dose amounts to reduce the risk of strokes and adverse heart events is harmless.
Stomach problems are a sometime side effect that can be largely avoided by taking it with food or taking a coated or buffered type.
Bleeding from cuts when taking the recommended amounts at the recommended times is not really all that greater. People who take it for arthritis usually take an amount that makes this a concern, but nobody bled himself to death from aspirin.
Don't give it to children or pets without a doctor's say-so, as with children it could produce a neurological problem, and animals don't react with it predictably.

It's good for aches and pains and thinning the blood, help preventing heart attacks and strokes. If you get a person (concious of course) having a heart attack to chew one it lessons the severity. Cons is long term use (on a daily basis) can cause stomach bleeding, and you can bleed to death. If you are on it long term, they will monitor you, and you should never take it daily without a doctor's advice.

It helps prevent stress on your heart by high blood pressure or heart attack. Of course, it hard on your stomach. If you take too much you can cause stomach ulcers. Take the buffered kind according to the label.

Good for your heart and circulation. Bad for your stomach. You should take 1 baby aspirin a day and that will not upset your stomach.

good news is it is good for your circulation/heart...bad news is that it is not so good for your stomach if you take large amounts of it. It supposedly eat away at your stomach lining.
