i am building a new house and i want the front of my basement to be open and i was told there is a problem with the pitch of the septic pipe. so i need to know how much pitch is required.

i live in western new york. about twenty min. from jamestown in a town named ellington. if that helps with the answer.

You may also want to check your county or city's building permit department. There may be regulations regarding tank size in regard to number of bedrooms or bathrooms, the location of your drain field in regard to water supply and/or wetlands.

You may be able to have a pump installed if the pitch of your septic pipe is not adequate.

You would have to check with the codes at the township whee you live.. best of luck...ps use the right pipe.....
