could be raccoons,or if the hole in your fence is real big it could be deer or the two legged kind

The other morning I saw a rabbit in my garden chewing through the cherry tomatoes. I saw him eat 3 with out even hesitating !!!! THe darn thing had dug a hole and crawled right under my chicken wire . I chased him away and then buried the bottom of the chicken wire with more and more dirt. He has not been back! Goo luck !

Horn worms. They are big, fat, green caterpillars that eat tomatoes. They are hard to spot because they blend in with the plants. You can't keep them out with a fence because the moths lay their eggs on your tomato plants.
They are disgusting once you find them. The have a big black spot that looks like an eye, but it's not really an eye.
Just pick them off and squash them.

Raccoons. Turtles (though they only take bites out of the low-hanging fruits).
Deer, but they usually eat greens, too.

we call them tomatoe worms. they are green catapillar looking things. don't know the technical name
