i loveliver, but i have to crave it in order to enjoy it, and when i "crave" it, i know my iron is low.
i soak the liver in milk overnight, it draws out impurites that water doesnt, it changes the funky flavor somehow, i cut it in strips about 3 inches wide and 4-5 inches long, dredge it in seasoned flour and deep fry. it doesnt smeel up the house and i even got my friends kids to start eating it.

I only like it the way I cook it & my husband who used to hate liver eats mine. This is what I do & it's very simple:

I dip it in an egg & milk mixture, then in Italian Style bread crumbs (in baking section of store). Salt & Pepper. Then I fry on medium heat for about 7 minutes each side (maybe less, depends on how thick it is.) You want it soft enough to cut with a fork but no blood inside. Serve immediatly.

I like it with lightly salted cold tomato slices & cottage cheese. Yumm! A good hot day meal!
(I usually don't include onions because they take so long to cook compared to the liver - but that is very good)

I love liver and onions and have ordered it out many times. There must be lots of people who eat it if it is on the restaurant menu!

There are alot of people that love liver and onions. I am not one of them. I don't really care for the idea of eating an organ thats primary function is to filter out impurities.

My cats do no longer comprehend there is an awesome form of ingredients provided, so that they are pleased with what I provide for them. And high quality is the biggest aspect. If he's ingesting dry kibble, there is not any longer some thing incorrect with that. And it isn't sparkling from reading if he's barely boycotting moist nutrition. maximum cats might want to be addicted to Fancy ceremonial dinner. it truly is established as kitty krack! Cats might want to be quite choosy, and purely will eat what they prefer. and often it might want to be a diffused enormous difference. My cats are loose fed a severe high quality kibble, and a evening take care of of moist nutrition. there is one particular sort that has pink meat in gravy. One variety is chunks, and the different is shreds. they decline the chunks as no matter if it truly is poison, yet love the shreds. go ensure.

Sure people still eat it. I come from a somewhat old fashion family who still cook old fashion but even as a kid liver and onions tasted pretty good once in awhile.

As a chef, I can pretty much agree with you as far as the grandparents deal. All of the requests for and the people that I know that like that are OLDer people. VERY FEW under the age of 30 like it, and not many from 30 to 60. (that I have encountered)

I love liver and onions but I haven't eaten it in years. It has a lot of calories. But I love the taste.

Any organ that filters out all the toxians in a body, can't be a good thing...I remember my parents eatting them for the "iron", but there are FAR better ways to get your iron..I wouldn't eat them even if they were organic.
