Since DSL/Cable is not available in my area, is it possible that I install something in my laptop and go to Barnes & Nobles or somewhere to use High Speed Internet?

Where do I pay to use a public place's service? If they use Wi-Fi, do I have to pay a Wi-Fi subscription service or not?

What would I have to install in my laptop? If it is a wireless notebook adapter, is it the same kind used for home wireless networking connections?

Thank you so much for any help!!

You need to subscription a Wi-Fi service. You can check on your local ISP (Sprint has a Wi-Fi service). Usually they will give you a Wi-Fi PCMCIA card and you insert in your PCMCIA slot of your notebook for you to connect to Wi-Fi network.

Your wireless notesbook adapter may or may not work for public Wi-Fi. You have to talk to your local ISP.

The speed is different from various area or blind spot.

Good luck
