I'll be sitting in PA for a couple nights at a time. There are two dogs which must be let out 3-4 times a day, a dehumidifier which must be emptied, and I need to stay overnight. I was told to name a price, but I've never done this before so I don't know what is average.

You are new so the price should be low ,like $25 a day should do. I personally get between $50 and $75 a day. It depends what I have to do. If just feeding dogs(or cats) its $50 but if I have to do things like take out their trash on trash day or mow the lawn then I get $75.

Looking to the scarcity of such services if you were to ask them that you would keep the house and tell them to pay the balance as soon as possible!
