talk to the person, if they will talk to you and see what the issue may be. it might just be a misunderstanding. if they won't talk to you try a letter or an email or an IM. communication is really the only way to know what is going on and how that person feels. if they wont talk to you and tell you what is wrong, then i suggest just letting them know that you are still their friend and when they are ready, you will be waiting. that does not mean to accept any abuse from them though, if the situation should get that far. use your best judgment in the matter.

Looks like a few of us are going thru this, it does suck and can totally catch you off guard. I just go about my business and talk to people who are true friends. Life is too short to ponder why some people do what they do and sometimes no matter how hard you try, you may never know why. Just remember that its OK and not your issue. If you honestly dont think you did anything to provoke this, than I say get as far away from them as you can. Besides, if they are my friend and I did do something to offend them, they would come and tell me , so we could work it out. Someone who continues to avoid you after awhile with no signs of personal stuff going on just likes the drama. Woman can be just plain evil. Thats why most of my friends are men. Try it! And good luck!!!

give your friend their space and things should work out... My daughter had a friend who had a personal problem and my daughter was blamed for telling people about it. I told my daughter if she did it she should be sorry and the only thing she could do to show her friendship to the girl was to ask for her forgiveness and after a while it would blow over as long as she never did anything like that again. It took most of the school year but they became friends again... The thing you have to remember is, in the case of you breaking someones trust, things will never be the same. If you work to gain that trust back, it could turn out better than it was before because you've gotten past something meaningful together.

After you make sure they're not mad at you or something, just give them some space. Sometimes friendships go through peaks and valleys and your friend might just need some time to explore other friendships for awhile. Meanwhile, if you start making some new friends too, your friend will probably realize that he/she misses you and will start talking to you again. If not, then just move onto other friends. You can't force a friendship.

Ask them if that is the case, so you know the right answer. If they don't want to talk with you anymore, you move on and find someone that does want to talk with you.

Move on. If they don't want to talk to you anymore without even trying to explain why they are, it's time to find better friends who want to spend time with you.

Time to realize the person is not really your friend and seek new friends. Maybe your friendship can resume in the future, but for now the person isn't a true friend.

just leave them alone for a while. if they dont come back and wanna work things out. then their not really a good friend. maybe your not meant to be friends. but dont worry. its their loss not yours. your being the better person. dont dwell over their issues. move on and find new friends.

Stay away from them. I had a friend once and all of sudden one day she just stopped talking to me. I got the hint and didn't talk to her either. Walk away. It's their fault not yours.
