could you tell me the difference between males and females

The males are the typical green headed ducks you think of when you think of Mallards, the females are a drab brown.

The male has a green head and the female is brown w/white specks and they make good food for the table .

Male mallards have green feathers on their heads, females are all brown. (I think)
