I am sick of Fox News MSNBC and CNN. But more so Fox News they have absolutely no scruples in delivering conservative biased news. CNN and MSNBC aren't that much better but there is at least a pretense of unbiaseness. What I would really like to do is join or start a group that boycotts Fox News, but I don't really know how i could do that.

Most news sources have websites. I get the New York Times, The Guardian, The Scotsman, The Washington Post, Grist, The Age, and al-Jazeera newspapers in my email every day. I don't read all of the information, but I read the top stories. If something really catches my interest, I check out CNN, the BBC, the AP and Reuters, and do a Google search for information.

None of those sources are unbiased, but you get many of the same stories from different perspectives. The truth is usually somewhere in between.

By writing a letter, and have others sign the letter-petition, (keep a copy for yourself), and send it to the news broadcasters, expressing you concerns. They often respond. Send the same letter more than once to other news agencies as well.

Commercial television is just that, commercial. They are more interested in ads and celebrity gossip , than promoting unbiased news. By offering an opinion, you may be helping them promote better broadcasting and that translates into $$$$....Ratings are very important to any broadcast.

Try listening to some of the other foreign news broadcasting networks. BBC has a different method of delivery and doesn't pay that much attention to the funny weatherman.

I would like to know ,by whom? Having been all over Europe and The Far East and Israel I can say that the American Press is the Best of all. Some papers follow the left and some the right. You buy the paper that you like. Never being to Ghanna, I can not comment. American newsmen are the smartest out there and at least there is no sensureship. Criticize whomever you want, you won't end up in jail or worse.

There is no such thing as unbiased news.

From what I have seen, BBC is biased left. So are ABC, NBC, CBS.

CNN is middle to left.

Fox News is middle to right.

Listen to viewpoints from both sides, and make up your mind.

Cordially,
John

The 2 best: BBC & the International News Service. The ones you mention are anemic imitations. They actually cover very little news.

You can get them both on a lot of cable services these days.

Here are a boat load of international news related links. All are internet sites. Your best bet is to reduce your cable and network news viewing and read news from internet sources and magazines. My personal favorite news magazine is US News and World Report.

Try the Christian Science Monitor. Also search for News out of Europe.

BBC is the gold standard. You can hear it on short wave and perhaps satellite radio.

You could also go to CBS and get the other bias.
