My Windows firewall was deleted from my computer. How do I restore it, it is NO longer in the recyle bin.?

Can I download the firewall from windows somewhere?

I believe you can download just the Firewall, but if not, download and reinstall XP SP2 as it includes the new Windows Firewall.

Or better yet, go out to download.com and download the free ZoneAlram firewall. It is much more secure than the Windows firewall, as Windows only blocks incoming traffic, and ZoneAlarm does both income and outgoing (keeps virus from spread to other computers or sending out spam from your PC). It downloads faster and runs better.

In what ways do you think you "deleted" your firewall?

Never mind. Go into your Control Panel, and go to Security Center. There should be a setting for the Firewall. If you have indeed deleted it, then this should help you to reinstall the files you need.

U can add or remove windows firewall at the following location
click start go to control panel and then go to windows firewall.

Actually, windows firewall is built into xp sp2, there isnt any way you can delete it seperately from xp without uninstalling sp2 completely. if you have a newer computer, sp2 is integrated, so you cant uninstall it seperately. chances are you just deleted a shortcut to your security center, which can be found in start-> control panel and find the security center icon... hope this helps!

SIMPLE-do a system restore to an earlier date through windows. its in the start menu-accessories-system i think......that should restore the firewall!!
