I am moving to NY from Alabama and I would like to know where the safest areas are? I am moving there with my 3 year old son and I would like to take him to the park. Also are there any nice Puerto Rican guys nice up there? I heard that they are losers is this true? I hope not.

Going to have to look out on Long Island, Places like ISLIP or PORT JEFFERSON.. Good schools, still work, Safe, and nice parks and close enough to everything..LIVED there for years.. Youn friend in Tennessee...ROB

Awesome! I live in NY, I think Queens is an awesome place. Queens is amazing especially the Bayside area. It's really safe here and it's really peaceful here. People in Bayside are all nice! Trust me. I'm 15 turning 16. A park? Awesome, in Bayside, schools are really convenient for you because high school; middle school; and elementary school aren't really scattered! The elementary school has a park, it's awesome too. I've been there ever since I was 5 and it's amazing, not too far... like 8 blocks away or so is the middle school. From the elementary school you transfer to middle school, after that you take the SSHSAT (Specialized High School Test) in 8th grade and see what high school yo'ull get in, if you don't, you can always resort to Cardozo which is another 8 blocks away, it's real close. I can help you out too! I like Queens the best. Convenient for everyone, not too far is Fresh Meadows, a mall and movie theater. Flushing, a place where many asians and Puerto Ricans hang out. It's polluted and crowded, so if you want to live somewhere safe, I say Queens. Also, there's this place called Bay Terrace, it's great there too, many attire stores and another movie theater too. If not, you can go to Long Island, it's pretty nice there too.

Saratoga Springs/ Glens Falls area, they both are around 45 min away from Albany, which is the capital of NY
