Would I be a bad person if I told her that I didn't want to help her clean her house for free ? Its a huge apartment ! People usually charge 450 around here to clean an apartment this size. I am already watching her two children for 30 a week. I think she is taking advantage of my kindness. Please help me .

you know what, maybe it is asking a bit much, but she may just really need your help (or just someones). Sometimes its the right thing to do to help others without asking anything in return. There might be a time when you need something from her, and she will remember how nice you were to help her clean without asking for anything....you never know, she may offer something when you are done, but even if not, you will have done something nice, just because....we need more people in the world like that. I hope you do it out of the kindness of your heart. I dont believe she is trying to take advantage of you.

You should not help her clean her house for free, she would need to pay someone else like a cleaning service, so why should you clean it for free. You didn't say how many hours a day you watch her 2 children and how many days a week you watch them, but if you watch them for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, I would charge her more. Babysitters get alot more then that, even when the parents go out for an evening.

She is taking advantage of your kindness. Sand thing used to happen to me. Tell her that you feel like you're being taken advantage of. It doesn't make you a bad person.

remind her that time is money and you need it too, so unless she is a relative, you can expect compensation for your services.
