Do you want new furniture and can you easily afford it? If it will be a financial burden, do not get it. Let her buy new pillows and accents for a new look.

If it will not be a burden and you would like new furniture, then work with her and set a budget that you will NOT exceed. Research together (internet, circulars, comparison shop) and decide exactly what you will buy, go together to purchase it, and do not allow her to talk you into anything else.

Also have put an ad in the paper/up at work or church to sell your current furniture that's in good condition to recoup some of what you will spend. Good luck.

If she is compulsive the odds are she may buy something and then be unhappy with it when she gets it home. If you have the extra money to redecorate then go for it, but just make sure you pick things out together so you are both happy. Make sure you let her know that once you buy it you aren't going to up and redecorate again any time soon.

If u can afford to buy new furniture, then sure.. as long as its not going to hinder your finances then what will it hurt?? Women at times feel the need to change things even about themselves to make them feel better.. to make themselves alittle happier.. maybe the color of their hair, or hair cut,.. sometimes the need to just change the furniture around to make it look different, or buying new things for the house.... So if u can afford it.. and it makes her happy.. why not? better then saying No and having an angry wife on your hands dont u think?????? lol.. Happy Wife, Happy Life.. lol..

I understand how it feels to want to make your abode feel and look good and comfortable but if there would be complication like money matter (lack of it) Communication is the best way to resolve this.

Talk to her - explain to her that at present there are more important matters you both have to attend to and buying new furniture is not on the priority list.

All women like to give there house a facelift now and then. If you cant afford it ,try to do something with paint and new shades. You say shes compulsive, is that a real issue in all areas or is she just a shopper? Most women are my friend. Get use to it.

I would think it would all depend on if you are financially able to do this. Maybe you could sell your furniture and partially pay for the new. This is something only you and her can decide. Talk it out

If that is what makes her happy and she can pay cash then tell her to do what ever makes he feel good...May be a good idea for you to spend some time with her take her out on a date and that may be a little cheaper...She need changes in her life just like everyone..

You should absolutely let her buy new furniture...

Wait a second...

DID YOU SAY LET HER???

You are lucky she just didn't go out and buy it without your opinion or assistance.
