I make all kinds of music, and I will say that techno/electronica does indeed qualify, though these other individuals are correct in their assumptions of its simplicity.

Because people feel that since no actual hand was represented while making, i.e. playing an instrument or singing that it is not true music. Most people feel that music should be artful and machines can't create art.
