First I am so sorry you have to go through that, it's horrid. I would like you to think that maybe it's not all americans but some ignorant kids that are causing the problems. I remember high school and some kids picked on anyone different, wether in culture, color, looks...even if they just wore glasses. It's wrong but it's always been that way. I think what is happening to you is serious enough to take to the schools administration though, because it's harassment. I'd speak with the principal and get them to help, the kids need to learn that racial or cultural prejudice is not acceptable. Do your parents know this is happening? If things get worse or the school won't help, call a lawyer. As I said I am sorry, but I don't believe in blaming all middle-easterners for 9/11 or terrorism, and I wish people would quit blaming all americans for ignorance and hate. I've noticed a lot of that all over the world.

I'm sorry you are being teased at school. Sadly you are being teased because of the actions of Muslim radicals. I don't think that Americans think that Pakistan caused 9/11, even though Pakistanis hate Americans. (I'm don't mean you, I mean the people that live in Pakistan). I'm sorry to tell you this but I don't think that 25% of Americans hate Muslims, it is much higher than that. But it's the radicals that we hate, unfortunately those are the ones we hear about. If Muslims that are not radicals will begin turning in the ones they know are radicals things may begin to change. Until then as I said I'm sorry you are teased, I'm sure you don't deserve it. The only thing I can say to you is just try to live your life as the nice person I'm sure you are. If you don't let the teasing get to you (try to laugh it away) most people will stop if they don't get the expected result. Good luck.

I was unaware that Americans were attaching significant blame for the events of September 11, 2001 on Pakistan.
If it is true, given the situation you have described, I would say that they exercise this mindset problem because they have chosen to live in a state of self-imposed ignorance. Ignorance is said to be bliss. However, I do not know how long their state of comfort will last before hard realities begin to hit them. I do not know what they plan to derive from engaging in that kind of behaviour. Cultures and religions, including that of the United States, have two ways of getting ahead: the honest way and the dishonest way. It is increasingly difficult to get ahead in North America the honest way, and when they hear legitimate criticism from other cultures, including the Moslem one, they may feel threatened. Many people know that others have a point when religious and/or cultural groups speak out against the high level of materialism in North America and its large scale impact. They become angry.
It is highly possible for people, as well as cultures, to be both victims and villains. Look at all the war mongers.
The last respondent to your question has a way of giving demeaning and superior answers to people. I have noticed it in going on to some of the answers. The individual manages to keep his or her gender obscure. I have come to strongly suspect that "composertype" is a girl. "She" mentions having got in her five minutes of fame by playing the keyboard for a world famous band. I wonder if abusing people the same way is the source of her musical talent and benefits e.g. her five minutes of fame. Do you see the relationship between the behaviour I have observed and outlined and the conduct at school that you are describing?

I'm an American and I don't hear Pakistan being blamed for 9/11. Your educational system is a big problem, though.

If it is any consolation, American Christians are probably not very popular in Pakistan either.

We didn't go there and crash planes in to your buildings. We don't have war lord telling us how to dress. We don't have opium crops in our farms. We don't care what you do, just leave us alone.

Americans are sheep (or lemmings) and will believe anything their government tells them without question.
